Microsurfacing

Stewart & Tate Construction is the area leader in microsurfacing, a latex modified, emulsion-based liquid mixed with crushed limestone aggregate in a truck-mounted pug mill. Microsurfacing is widely used on the region’s roads and streets to increase skid resistance and stop the UV degradation of the asphalt binder material in existing pavements. It is very effective in filling rutted pavement due to its excellent stability. It also cures quickly and can often be open to traffic within one hour of application.
